Litchfield National Park
Litchfield National Park is an ancient landscape shaped by water. It features numerous stunning waterfalls which cascade from the sandstone plateau of the Tabletop Range.
The area is filled with different wildlife species like antilopine Kangaroo, agile wallabies, sugar gliders, and red flying foxes. The park is also home to hundreds of native bird species.
For us, Litchfield National Park is all about its incredible waterfalls. We could spend days here going from spot to spot, hiking in through the bush and diving head first into the fresh water swimming hole.
This particular location is Sandy Creek, accessible only by 4 wheel drive and therefore, less crowds than other popular areas. At times we have this all to ourselves.
