Day one – Pick up from Darwin and head down the highway into Kakadu National Park , stopping for a visit to see Brutus, our legendary 4m crocodile. This afternoon we aboard the Guluyambi Cultural Cruise and head down the East Alligator, gaining a rich understanding of culture from the Aboriginal guided tour. Stepping on to Arnhem hand and seeing spear throwing at its best. Tonight we take the iconic walk around Ubirr and learn the deep meaning of rock art, finishing our night with a stunning sunset and relaxing around the camp fire.

Day two – This morning we will continue our journey through Gunbim (rock art). The ancient occupational site of Burrunkuy, teaches us the traditional ways and meanings of the oldest ongoing culture on the planet. Next we will climb to the lookout of Nourlandja to get an overall view of the surrounding area. 1.8 billion year old rock outliers, billabongs and savanna woodland. Take a minute to sit, meditate, relax, listen to your favourite song or any other way you wish to just be in the moment. 

This afternoon we further south to Maguk (Barramundi Gorge) for a beautiful hike through old paperbark trees, following the creek along for a rewarding swim at the end in one of the most stunning spots in Kakadu.

Finishing the day we will head to our bush camp at Gunlom where you will have the option of a leisurely swim in the bottom plunge pool while dinner is cooking

Day three – This morning we will be some of the first to hike to the top of Gunlom falls for a beautiful morning swim in the infinity pool.

After heading back down and packing up camp we will make our way to Katherine via the historic town of pine creek and on to Edith Falls.

This evening we will be setting up camp and the fire in Katherine.

Day four – Starting the day with a cruise along the magnificent Katherine Gorge, understanding the history behind the iconic gorge itself and the culture within the area.

After lunch we will head to Katherine hot springs for an afternoon of relaxation before heading back up the highway to our camp in Litchfield National Park.

Day five – Litchfield along with Kakadu are two of the Top Ends major attractions. Today is Litchfield’s turn. Firstly we will visit some 80 year old castles in the flood plains. The famous cathedral termite mounds, towering some 6 or 7 metres above food. The equivalent of 1 million humans building something 5 times bigger than New York City in 80 years blindfolded.

The rest of the day will be spent exploring the incredible waterfalls and swimming holes withion the park before finishing up and heading back in to Darwin.
